One of my top priorities in Congress is delivering real results for Mississippi’s Fourth Congressional District by advocating for responsible federal investments that strengthen our communities, economy, and national security.
Each year, Congress considers appropriations legislation that funds essential government programs and projects. As part of this process, I may submit requests to support community-focused projects that serve a clear public purpose and provide direct benefits to South Mississippi.
Community Project Funding Requests
Community Project Funding allows Members of Congress to request federal funding for specific projects that address local needs—such as infrastructure improvements, public safety, water systems, transportation, workforce development, research, and military readiness.
Every request I submit must:
- Serve a legitimate public purpose
- Be sponsored by an eligible public or nonprofit entity
- Comply with House rules and transparency requirements
- Demonstrate strong local support and project readiness
Transparency and Accountability
I am committed to full transparency and accountability throughout the appropriations process. All requests I submit are publicly disclosed, certified to comply with federal guidelines, and carefully reviewed to ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and effectively.
Submitting a request does not guarantee funding, but each proposal is evaluated based on its merit, community impact, and alignment with the priorities of our district.
How to Submit a Request
Eligible entities located in Mississippi’s Fourth Congressional District may submit appropriations requests during the designated submission window. When submissions are open, this page will include detailed guidance, eligibility requirements, and deadlines.

The House Committee on Appropriations has not yet released guidance pertaining to forms, processes, and or other matters pertaining to the FY27 appropriations cycle. Please be prepared to offer additional specific information as needed. Additional materials may be required as the process moves forward.
