Congressman Mike Ezell has received his subcommittee assignments for the 118th Congress, including a vice-chairmanship on a key Homeland Security subcommittee.
Congressman Ezell was assigned to subcommittees by House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (TN-07) and House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Sam Graves (MO-06).
On the Committee on Homeland Security, Congressman Ezell will serve as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability, which conducts investigations over homeland security issues.
"It’s an honor to serve as Vice-Chair of the Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability Subcommittee," Congressman Ezell said. "The officials overseeing our border security, counterterrorism, and emergency management efforts must be held accountable."
Congressman Ezell will also serve on the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection.
On the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Congressman Ezell will serve on three subcommittees: Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation; Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management; and Water Resources and Environment.
"I'm excited about my Transportation and Infrastructure subcommittee assignments," Congressman Ezell said. "These subcommittees have oversight over many government policies that impact South Mississippi, including programs conducted by FEMA, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Coast Guard. I'm ready to get to work strengthening our infrastructure and standing up for the needs of our communities."
