In his first month in Congress, Congressman Mike Ezell has shown up for the people of South Mississippi.
"I'm proud of the record I've already built, and I look forward to continuing to serve the people of South Mississippi," said Congressman Ezell. "My team and I have accomplished some great things already, but we're just getting started."
With the introduction of H.Res. 63, Congressman Ezell became one of the first freshman Members of Congress to write and sponsor legislation in the 118th Congress.
In addition, Congressman Ezell and the House Republican Majority have passed critical legislation addressing some of our nation's most pressing issues, including:
- The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 26)
- The Protecting America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve from China Act (H.R. 22)
- The Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act (H.R. 23)
- The Pandemic is Over Act (H.R. 382)
With his assignment to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Homeland Security, Congressman Ezell is primed to continue being a leader among his peers in Washington.
At the same time, Congressman Ezell has made it a priority to build relationships across South Mississippi. During his first district work week in January, the congressman made numerous stops both on the Gulf Coast and throughout the Pine Belt, discussing the importance of job creation and infrastructure to the local economy.
"While there is work that has to be done in Washington, I'll always prioritize being back home in South Mississippi," said Congressman Ezell.
