Representative Mike Ezell

Dear [salutation],

Last week, the pro-life movement scored a MAJOR WIN—and Democrats responded by attacking the legitimacy of our justice system and the rule of law.

Here's what you may have missed:

For years, the FDA has ignored and subverted federal laws to kill unborn children via abortion pills. After years of work by pro-life activists, we finally got a federal judge to consider whether or not these actions were constitutional.

The case (Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA) was heard on March 15th.

Before the trial, I joined 13 U.S. Senators and 53 other Members of Congress in signing an amicus brief in support of the pro-life side. Our brief outlined how the FDA put women and girls at risk by ignoring safety standards, waiving approval processes for minors, and outright violating federal laws against mail-order abortion.

On Friday, the federal court ruled in our favor, overturning the FDA's illegal actions. It was a massive victory for women, girls, and babies across the country.

So how did the left respond?

President Biden promised to appeal the ruling, saying that he and Vice President Harris would "continue to lead the fight" to protect unrestricted abortion on-demand. In other words, he vowed to fight for the FDA's ability to violate federal laws and grow the abortion regime.

Somehow, other Democrats are EVEN MORE RADICAL on this issue.

One of my colleagues in the House went on CNN to tell the Biden Administration to "ignore" the ruling. The Democrat chairman of the Senate Finance Committee seems to agree:

Ron Wyden Tweet on the FDA

What these lawmakers are suggesting is blatantly unconstitutional. Our founding fathers put checks and balances in place to ensure that our rights are protected; when a president "ignores" judges who disagree with him, it undermines the very fabric of our nation.

When I took the oath of office to be your United States Congressman, I swore that I would "support and defend the Constitution of the United States." It's a promise that I take seriously, and I will do everything in my power to ensure that our Constitution and our constitutional rights are protected.

Friday's ruling was a major win for the right to life—the most precious right that we receive from our creator—and I'm proud to have played a small part in securing that victory. But the battle is not over. I will not stop fighting until the lives of every mother and every baby are protected.
