I'll continue to support their investigations because the American people deserve to know the truth.

On Tuesday, HII announced it was awarded a multi-year contract to build six Arleigh Burke-class destroyers for the U.S. Navy in Pascagoula. These guided missile destroyers are some of the most versatile ships in our surface fleet, and I'm proud to see them being built in my hometown.

South Mississippi plays a major role in equipping our military. We're producing some of the world's most advanced ships and developing cutting-edge technology for drones, armor, and ammunition. Our innovation provides the men and women of the armed forces with the tools they need to keep our nation safe.
