Congressman Mike Marks 100 Days of Delivering for South Mississippi

Today marks 100 days since Congressman Mike Ezell was sworn in as a part of the new Republican majority in the United States House of Representatives.

"It's been a productive first 100 days," said Congressman Ezell. "The people of South Mississippi sent me to Washington to work, and that's what I'm continuing to do."

Congressman Ezell has made constituent service a top priority. Since he took office, he and his staff have responded to thousands of constituent inquiries and helped hundreds of Mississippians resolve problems with federal agencies and programs.

"I'm proud of the work my staff does to ensure that Mississippians' voices are heard and to help cut through federal bureaucracy," Congressman Ezell said. "I encourage anyone who has questions about a bill or needs help with a federal agency to reach out to my office. We're here to serve."

In January, Congressman Ezell became one of the first freshmen in the 118th Congress to introduce legislation. He introduced H.Res. 63, which honors the lives of fallen Bay Saint Louis Police Officers Sergeant Steven Robin and Officer Branden Estorffe.

Congressman Ezell was one of the first freshmen to see Biden's border crisis firsthand. He and other members of the House Committee on Homeland Security took a trip to El Paso, TX and met with Border Patrol Agents and other law enforcement officials struggling with the Biden administration's open border policies.

In addition, Congressman Ezell has worked with other Republicans to pass key elements of the Republican Conference's Commitment to America, including:

  • The Lower Energy Costs Act (H.R.1)
  • The Parents Bill of Rights (H.R.5)
  • The Pandemic is Over Act (H.R. 382)

"It's an incredible honor to serve the people of the Fourth District," said Congressman Ezell. "We hit the ground running in January and haven't stopped since."

Congressman Mike Ezell represents Mississippi's Fourth Congressional District. He is currently serving in his first term. Before being elected to Congress, Congressman Ezell served as Sheriff of Jackson County. For more information, please visit ezell.house.gov.
